We offer a range of services depending on your needs and budget, from a one-off consultation to the preparation of full plans, construction details and planting schemes. We can manage the construction phase, co-ordinating the work of the landscaping team. Contractors are selected for different jobs according to their relevant expertise.

 

 

Initial visit and consultation

After contacting us, we will arrange an initial visit to discuss your garden. We discuss your requirements and tastes and how the garden will be used. Following this meeting, we confirm the brief in writing, enabling you to make changes, along with a breakdown of fees for the design work. Once we have received your signed acceptance, we move on to the next stage

Site Survey

An accurate survey of the existing garden is needed before any design work can take place. This is undertaken either by ourselves, or in the case of larger or more complex sites, by a chartered land surveyor. This survey details the house, boundaries, existing features and levels required for the subsequent preparation of an accurate design

First Outline Plan

We prepare a number of ideas and supporting visuals to show you how the final plan will look, allowing us to talk through your opinions and any changes you wish to make

Final plan

Following the presentation of the outline plan, the design details are finalised. Construction drawings are prepared where required for elements of hard landscaping i.e. steps, pergolas, walls, ponds, lakes and garden buildings. This is the plan from which the landscape contractor will be able to cost, set out and build the garden

Planting Schemes

Once the outline plan has been designed, a planting scheme can be created, taking into account soil type, aspect, situation and your own tastes and preferences

Lighting

Many clients want to use their garden at night or have the ability to create different moods through lighting. To achieve this, a lighting design outlines the circuits and specifies the location and type of lights and equipment to be used.

Project Management

To ensure a satisfactory outcome, we are available to monitor the implementation of your garden. This is of value for complex projects and is also helpful for clients who do not have the time to manage the process themselves

Maintenance

On completion of construction, we are able to source, supply and set out all the plants for your garden, and organise the planting. We can also prepare maintenance schedules
